Today's Movie Of The Day...

So my pick for Woman Crush Wed.
got me thinking about what Salma Hayek films I haven't seen and care to see. 1st let me say that if Salma's in it, most likely I'll want to see it. Especially if she has a prominent roll and not just a walk on character. So today's film of choice is: I'm ashamed to say I haven't seen this one yet, but I'm making up for lost time now. Besides, I'm sure Salma will forgive me.

Monty Oum Monday

While on a break from editing a short ninja turtle parody, my curiosity grew as I thought about what the status of Monty's current series "RWBY" is. It led me on a short hunt through numerous online forums seeking the answer to this question and here's what I found at this link:

http://roosterteeth.com/podcast/episode.php?id=309

I tried several times to embed it but for whatever reason the code won't copy. Anyway the link leads to a podcast addressing his passing, his properties, and (as far as I know since I'm listening to it now) what's next for "RWBY". Here's all four trailers for his series RWBY. The trailers act as a prologue to the series showcasing a taste of the story and visual style to expect. I won't lie to you, the animation is an acquired taste, but it is a specific style. An artistic choice. Art is about being different and presenting something fresh and unseen to the viewer (imo). If you can open your mind and enjoy the story and accept the visual art style, and music, you will be treated to an excellent action series. I think the series is awesome and I admire anyone who's able to achieve such a feat.

Anyway, I'll post the 1st episode on the next Monty Oum Monday. Enjoy RWBY's prologue episodes!

HORROR in Games

I hate IGN (now). Everyone at IGN come off as pretentious, snarky, G4 wannabes, but from time to time they do offer quality updates and news, when they're not trying to dictate what's "cool". Like this vid for instance getting into THE EVIL WITHIN and RESIDENT EVIL REVELATIONS 2 and the differences between the two.

and speaking about horror games, BLOODBORNE drops this week...
It's a good time to be a gamer.

Film Fact... er, Saturday??

Even though I spotted a few of these on my own, it was cool to hear about all the references made to "Evil Dead" in Sam Raimi's "Drag Me To Hell"
